Why the Iatroscope Case
diagnostic kit?
Advantages for you as a medical student

Save time and money 💸

At many universities, a stethoscope, reflex hammer and flashlight are compulsory equipment in the first clinical semester.
Instead of buying each item separately and paying significantly more, you get everything in one bag with the
IatroscopeCase diagnostic set. Our ready-to-use diagnostic kit
is easy on your wallet and saves you a long search. Comparable diagnostic sets
often cost more and contain fewer instruments.
The Iatroscope Case offers you excellent value for money.

🔵 Developed by doctors

Iatroscope is backed by young doctors who know exactly what is important.
All instruments in this diagnostic set have been selected and tested by experienced doctors so that you can rely on
the highest quality. Robust, precise and durable - clinical quality instead of cheap
plastic gadgets. So you can learn clinical examination right from the start - with equipment
that doctors trust.

🔵 Everything in one place

Put an end to the chaotic smock bag: the Iatroscope Case is a compact, padded
bag with space for every instrument. You can keep an overview at all times
and transport your equipment safely. Whether you're on an internship, at a station or on the road - everything is
neatly stowed away and ready to hand. No stress before exams:
Pack the diagnostic kit from Iatroscope and you're guaranteed to have everything you need.

🔵 Flexible selection (master vs. starter)

Not every:r student has the same needs - that's why the Iatroscope Case diagnostic set is available in four
variants: Master Case and Starter Case, each with or without a stethoscope.
You already have a stethoscope? No problem. Want to start with the basics first? Then choose the starter set.
You can find more details below - so you get exactly the diagnostic set that suits you.

🔵 Optimized for medical studies, PJ and examination course

This diagnostic set has been specially developed for medical students, from the first examination course to the PJ and beyond during their residency.
Many students laboriously buy the same instruments over the years.
With the Iatroscope Case diagnostic set, you are fully equipped from day one, which gives you confidence in everyday clinical practice and allows you to present yourself professionally to patients and lecturers.

The instruments

Perfect your skills thanks to your Iatroscope Case diagnostic set: stethoscope, otoscope, diagnostic light, reflex hammer, oximeter, ECG ruler and goniometer are the reliable companions on your way to the right diagnosis!

As you can see, the Iatroscope Case diagnostic set covers all the important examination methods - from auscultation and neurological examinations to ear and eye inspections (the otoscope light can also be used to shine a light down the throat if necessary). This means you are ideally equipped for the clinical phase of your studies.

Iatroscope

These instruments are included in the Iatroscope Case

The Iatroscope Case combines all the important diagnostic instruments in one set. Here is an overview of the included parts and their features

Cardio stethoscope

This is a double-headed stethoscope. A high-quality dual-head stethoscope (chest piece with membrane and funnel) allows you to auscultate the heart, lungs and abdomen.

The headpiece is made of stainless steel for clear sound transmission. Soft silicone earpieces ensure a comfortable fit and a good seal in the ear. (A second pair of ear tips and a replacement membrane are also included).

This stethoscope offers you the acoustic quality required for clinical examinations - ideal for beginners, without the high price of a branded stethoscope.

You can of course also buy the stethoscope as a single instrument - ideal if you want to expand your case later or add to an existing set.

(Tip: The membrane is suitable for high and low frequencies - depending on the contact pressure. The stethoscope can also be easily cleaned with conventional hand disinfectants, making it particularly easy to care for in everyday clinical practice).

CarStethoscope
Iatroscope Otoscope

Otoscope

You can use the ear mirror (otoscope) to examine the ear canal and eardrum - handy for ENT examinations during your internship.

The Iatroscope otoscope works with modern fiber optic illumination and LED light, which gives you a clear field of vision without casting shadows. It has 3x magnification for details and sits comfortably in the hand.

The set includes disposable ear funnels in two sizes, so you are equipped for adults and children. Many universities do not require you to have your own otoscope at the start of your studies, but with the Master Case you already have this tool to hand when you need it - a plus point that can set you apart from others (and useful for ENT internships or GP placements, for example).

You can also buy the otoscope as a single item if you want to expand your equipment or have an additional device for the clinic and emergency bag.

Reflex hammer according to Babinski

The classic neurology hammer is of course a must. Our Iatroscope reflex hammer has a slim, ergonomic metal handle and a round, unscrewable rubber head.

This means it can be stowed away to save space and is easy to clean. It has just the right weight to trigger precise self-reflexes - without any effort, just by dropping the hammer.

This Babinski model is perfect for beginners; many neurologists recommend a slightly heavier Trömner model for advanced users, but for you as a beginner, the Babinski hammer is ideal for testing all the important reflexes and learning it properly.

Iatroscope pupil light

Pupil lamp (diagnostic lamp)

A handy LED flashlight in ballpoint pen format makes it easier for you to examine the pupil reaction and inspect the mouth/throat.

Our diagnostic light is light, slim and fits in any lab coat pocket. It uses standard batteries and has an on/off button that remains engaged - so you don't have to keep pressing it (important for longer examinations).

The lamp has just the right brightness to reliably check pupillary reflexes without dazzling. An indispensable aid not only in neurology, but also in the emergency room or during any physical examination, for example.

Pulse oximeter

This small device measures the oxygen saturation (SpO₂) in the blood and the pulse - important in anesthesia, emergency medicine and many clinical situations. You simply clip the finger pulse oximeter onto the patient's finger; within seconds, the display shows the O₂ saturation and heart rate. Our pulse oximeter provides accurate readings down to 70% saturation. As a student, you will often measure pulse and O₂ with the hospital's own monitors, but with your own oximeter you can monitor patients independently at any time (e.g. during a first aid intervention or on the ward if there is no monitor to hand). A great extra that is already included in the Master Case.

Iatroscope Oximeter
ECG ruler

ECG Ruler

The ruler with ECG scale helps you to quickly analyze ECG printouts. Our ECG ruler is more than just a normal ruler - it contains printed standard values and intervals for ECG diagnosis (heart rate determination, PQ, QRS and QT duration, etc.). This allows you to read the most important values on each ECG strip in no time at all. Especially in cardiology and

emergency medicine, you will appreciate this. It also serves as a cheat sheet: the ruler provides a compact summary of the most common ECG changes so that you have a practical guide to hand during ECG exercises during your studies. It may not be a must-have for the pre-clinical physics exam - but you'll be glad to have it with you in the clinic.

Goniometer

The goniometer is a protractor that you can use to determine the range of motion of joints. In orthopaedics and surgery, you will learn how to determine the flexion and extension of the knee or the rotation of the shoulder in degrees, for example. Even as a student, you should practise using it correctly, as joint examinations are part of everyday clinical practice. Our compact plastic goniometer fits in your pocket and is quickly ready for use to check joint function after injuries, for example. Surgeons use it routinely, but you can also make an impression as a student in practical examination courses if you can accurately measure a patient's mobility in the examination course, for example.

Master Case vs. Starter Case - which set is right for you?

We offer two set sizes,
so that you can choose the Iatroscope Case exactly as you need it

💼 Master Case:

Contains all the instruments described above, i.e. the complete equipment including stethoscope, otoscope and pulse oximeter. This set is ideal if you really don't want to leave anything to chance and want to work professionally right from the start. Dedicated students in particular, who may later want to go into general medicine, internal medicine or emergency medicine, really appreciate the comprehensive and practical selection. The Master Case is available with a stethoscope (if you don't already have one) or without a stethoscope if you already have a high-quality model such as a Littmann Classic III. In the version without stethoscope, all other instruments are of course included in full - perfect for adding to an existing stethoscope. The set therefore offers maximum flexibility, high quality and is immediately ready to use for examination courses, clinics, clinical traineeships or PJs. If you are looking for a reliable, fully-fledged and robust diagnostic set that keeps all your options open and grows with you in the long term, the Master Case is the best choice. It combines quality, completeness and structure in a single case that has been specially developed for the everyday clinical practice of European medical students.

Competitive solution!

Starter Case

Contains the most important basics for everyday clinical practice and deliberately focuses on the essentials. The starter set contains a stethoscope, reflex hammer, pupil light, goniometer and ECG ruler - exactly the instruments that you really need all the time in the examination course and in the first clinical semesters. The otoscope and pulse oximeter are not included, which makes the set lighter, more compact and less expensive. It is ideal for you if you want to start with the standard equipment, focus on the mandatory instruments or have a limited budget. Many PJs and students in early clinical phases choose this set because it is uncomplicated, clear and easy to transport and still covers all basic requirements. You can also order the starter case with or without a stethoscope. If you already have your own preferred or family stethoscope, for example, the version without is ideal - the hammer, lamp, goniometer and ECG ruler are then included in the case as a complete set. This keeps you flexible and gives you a functional, lightweight solution that will reliably accompany you through your clinic, course and clinical traineeship.
